Today’s post is the last of a three-part series on a home in Edmonton that Reclaiming Home recently staged to sell. Check out Staging Your Home, Reclaiming Home Style and Staging Your Home: Bedroom Edition.
The rooms featured in this post are the living room, the family room, and the eat-in kitchen. We used the core principles of Reclaiming Home: start with using what you own, edit things that are taking away from a room, use thrifted items, and fill in the blanks with just a few new things. This strategy transformed these living spaces into rooms that draw you in and make you want to stay. The results of staging this home were incredible.
Then, Susan Horon of Royal LePage Noralta listed the house. My clients immediately had two days of back to back showings booked! They received multiple offers and got more than they were asking for. People even showed up at their front door to make an offer without seeing the inside of the house. These before and after pictures show what a change staging a home in Edmonton can make.
Living Room
Family Room
For this space, the art was changed to something more neutral, and we added a lamp. This helped brighten up the windowless basement family room.
Kitchen
Next in the home staging was the kitchen. This area really only required some simple editing. We also spray painted the teal chandelier black to make it more neutral. This was a simple DIY that really made a difference.
Dining Area
Finally, removing two chairs and setting the table in the breakfast nook area made it look so much more open. You may notice that I even reused the vase from the living room.
In Edmonton, using an excellent realtor and staging your home properly can make a big difference in the return you can get on your investment. Reclaiming Home can make your home shine and stand out from the rest!
