After working together on their Family Room and Music Room, my client wanted to tackle their main living room. So, I created a custom Design Plan for her. It utilized her existing sofa, chairs, and coffee table. We achieved this living room makeover with a new layout, a few new pieces of furniture, and the right accessories and art.

My clients had some great pieces to start with. But the room was long and narrow, and it felt a bit cold and unfinished. By switching the layout, we made use of the length of the room and turned the fireplace into the perfect focal point.

A new, larger rug connects all the furniture and is better scaled to the size of the room. It makes the room feel brighter and warmer.

The new console helps to balance the room, and the new mantel styling makes the room feel intentional.

The curtains show off how high the ceilings are and add a lot of softness and texture. This makes the walls feel finished without having to add art.

Replacing the floor lamp, grasses, and candle with just one plant keeps the space filled out but with a cleaner feeling.

The dining room also got an update, but you will have to come back for that reveal!

We were able to make over this living room and create a fresh new space even though we didn’t change the paint, floors, or major pieces of furniture. We did this by adding in some great accessories such as the vase, rug, and new end tables.
